If you pay any attention at all to what’s happening in the film scene, you would know about the soon to be released Tamil science fiction film that everybody is talking about, starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai.
Directed by S. Shankar, with A. R. Rahman on background score and soundtrack, it is reported to be the most expensive Asian film ever made with a budget of Rs.150-160 crores.
That’s right, it’s the greatly anticipated Endhiran!
Also known as Robo in Telugu and Hindi, and as The Robot in English, the plot revolves around an andro-humanoid robot name Chitti (Rajinikanth), who was built by Dr. Vaseegaran (Rajinikanth again) to help society. Chitti can dance, sing, fight, is water and fire resistant, and feeds on electricity. He takes instructions literally and has razor sharp memory but he cannot lie or understand human emotions.
However, when Chitti’s processor is upgraded to simulate human emotions, he gets transformed. Now granted the ability to feel, the first feeling that Chitti discovers is Love. Will this love come in the way of his purpose? Will the scientist’s own creation destroy him?

Initially, a release date for India was set on 3 September 2010, which made way for a worldwide release said to be on 24 September 2010. However, according to www.endhiran.org, this may now be pushed as far back as 5 November 2010!
So now it could be just 3 weeks away, or another 3 months away!
